The Anna Julia Cooper Initiative, LLC. (AJCI) is a purpose driven educational consulting firm specializing in certificated early childhood teacher training, mentoring, as well as accreditation review and interventionist services for childcare instructors, directors, and owners. Additionally, we also design uniquely curated professional development in-service seminars and conflict mediation workshops for K-12 classroom teachers, counselors, and administrators working in public, private, and religious school organizations in California, Washington, DC, Maryland, Florida, and beyond.

The Brain Trust is the international arm of AJCI that was developed for the specific purpose of proposing a new and enterprising partnership with Guyana’s Ministry of Education and National Accreditation Council for developing an internationally accredited teacher training program called The Abel Augustus Bristol Teacher Training College.

Hence, Bristol College is the educational hub of our work in Guyana. It will prepare undergraduate as well as graduate (tertiary-level) students starting in October 2024 for dynamic careers in the teaching profession through culturally relevant pedagogical as well as andragogical training, coaching, and mentoring with a specialized focus on Special Education, Arts Integration, Early Childhood Education, Science of Reading, Critical Educational Theory, and Global Citizenship Education.
